These are the Ghana archives. This is a collection of stories from my time spent in this beautiful country.
I spent two weeks here in 2012 and volunteered in a local school. It was my first time I travelled outside of the EU. It was a huge culture shock, but I loved every second of my time there.
Since travelling there, I’ve grown wiser and I would hesitate to volunteer again for such a short period of time. However, Ghana is a special country and one that is well worth visiting. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is good if you’re an adventurous eater.
My trip there opened my eyes to what travel could be and set my wanderlust alight. I will always look back fondly on this trip. The experiences I had were incredible. If you ever get the chance to go to Ghana, don’t hesitate. Just go! It’ll be worth it, I promise.
